In The Cross 6-27-19

This is a picture of my son on Mr. P’s ranch.  Mr. P told so many wonderful stories.  He was close friend’s with Henry Ford.  Mr. P patented a tiny bolt or something for a car, but to know him you’d never realize his wealth.  We would go to breakfast or lunch and I would always tell him it was my time to pay but he would always say ‘maybe next time’.  He was from Sweden or Switzerland, I forget which now.  He would tell stories of living there with his mother, and the amazing story of his two aunts that bought tickets on the Titanic when it went down.  They fortunately had rescheduled due to a conflict.  He lived a simple, quiet life overflowing with faith in the Lord.

I’m reminded of this picture as I was awakened in the night hearing the song, ‘In The Cross’.  I see it sometimes called In the Cross and sometimes Near the Cross.  I prefer In The Cross.  Times like that are a wonderful praise and worship with the Lord.  Such a blessing in the night.  I prefer the songs where the voices make the music.  He reminds us to stay in the cross near Him.  God bless you as you walk with Him in a quiet life under his protection.  There is so much to be in prayer over these days.

~~~~~~
Jesus keep me near the cross.  There a precious fountain.  Free to all, a healing stream.  Flows from Calvary’s mountain.
In the cross, in the cross. Be my glory ever.  Till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river.
Near the cross, a trembling soul, love and mercy found me.  There the bright and morning star sheds its beams around me.
In the cross, in the cross.  Be my glory ever.  Till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river.
Near the cross O Lamb of God, bring its scenes before me, help me walk from day to day, with its shadows o’er me.
In the cross, in the cross, be my glory ever.  Till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river.
Near the cross, I’ll watch and wait, hoping, trusting ever.  Till I reach the golden strand just beyond the river.
In the cross, in the cross, be my glory ever.  Till my raptured soul shall find rest beyond the river.
