Mighty Warriors in Christ – 4-18-24

When you’ve been ridiculed and shunned by the world, stand firm on that solid rock. You may feel lonely, but you are never alone. They may tell you that you aren’t enough or that you don’t do enough. Just keep following the Savior and His voice. None are worthy. It is His grace.

I had one of those times when I sat in the prayer swing for two days crying my heart out. With so many voices coming at me and so many faces angrily turning the other way, it felt the world had crashed in. I kept telling God that I knew He needed mighty warriors and He didn’t need wimpies. I lovingly embraced His presence and let Him know ‘I’ll get it together, I’m trying.’

I didn’t tell anybody what I was going through. I had a call after the second day from a sister in Christ. She said she had the strangest dream and didn’t know what it meant. She said that she saw a woman walking around at night with a light. She was like a town crier. She was yelling, ‘God does not need wimpies, He needs warriors!’

I laughed so hard it took me a minute before I could speak. Our Father has a sense of humor. He is the God that sees us. He is also the loving Shepherd that will gently pick us up and say, ‘We have work to do.’

How precious to have a Father that gently leads and lets us know He understands. He speaks in a way that we feel His love and His laughter. His heart is not for us to be hurt. That is why we have to keep our eyes on Him. Rest in Him and His promises and wait to hear His voice. There we find peace.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re not enough. Don’t let anyone tell you or try to show you that God wouldn’t choose you to speak to His people. God will use any broken vessel that He left the 99 for to put back together. In His eyes, you are fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14) Hugs to you all and may the comforter wrap Himself around you today. You are strong and courageous.

Ephesians 6:11 – Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.

Psalm 144:1 – Of David. Blessed be the Lord, my rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle.

Hebrews 4:10 – For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

John 16:33 – I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.

Romans 12:2 – Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
