Cast Your Cares In Child-Like Faith – 6-17-23

I was reminded a few days ago to cast all my cares on Jesus. Sometimes I find myself casting my cares and then, like fly fishing, I reel them back in again.

When we have child-like faith to cast our cares on Jesus and leave them at His feet, we can feel His peace and stop letting circumstances and others steal our joy. The thief doesn’t take them from the feet of Jesus. The thief comes to us. He will bog us down with the things of this world.

I had a dream a few years ago that I was a child again. As I ran, I laughed and giggled. Things chased me to tempt me and cause me harm. I laughed even harder. I looked back and giggled as I saw those things coming at me. I came to a green pasture and rolled over in the grass. I looked up at Jesus and we had a lovely conversation. The cares of this world coming at me were not touching me. With faith as a child, I saw it as a game of chase that I was not afraid of because Jesus was with me and we were dashing for the green pasture.

God bless you today as you cast your cares, and all the things of this world coming at you, at Jesus’ feet. Enjoy the green pasture with child-like faith as you commune with Him today and He restores your soul.

John 10:10 NKJV – The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

1 Peter 5:7 NKJV – Casting all your cares on Him; for He cares for you.

Philippians 4:13 NKJV – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Hebrews 11:6 NKJV – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Psalm 8:2 NKJV – Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, because of Your enemies, that You may silence the enemy and the avenger.

Matthew 18:2-4 NKJV – Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Psalm 23:1-3 NKJV – The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
