Remembering God's Promises

Remembering God’s Promises #25 10-5-23

There is such a sweet spirit when the Lord is showing us something. It is so humbling and so amazing – His precious grace.

There has been dishonest behavior that I can’t speak of but I feel the need to tell the lesson the Father showed me.

I had asked the Lord to speak to us about this dishonest behavior from a person that was hurting us very badly. He exposed it very quickly with proof that anyone’s eyes can see (physical proof). In doing that and giving these instructions, we were able to receive peace and move on.

The most important thing, other than being so merciful to answer this prayer, was that He gave instructions in the wee hours of the morning to go along with it. I saw a few clips of what this person had been doing then this is what the Lord said:

  1. I have answered your prayer. Do not trash this person’s name.
  2. Give forgiveness so that you can get forgiveness.
  3. I am dealing with this person right where they are.

When I woke, the clips I had seen were very vague. I believe God had a purpose in that. But the instructions He gave are etched in my heart. Three simple instructions of His plan for us as His children. Instructions to walk in His way and to protect us. I trust His promises.

He is fighting the battle. We forgive trespasses against us so that we can be forgiven of our trespasses. We don’t trash it everywhere as God is dealing with it Himself in His way, which is just and fair in His eyes because His ways are not our ways. We don’t know the best way, but He does. As we found out, His plan was to draw this person closer to Him and to get them on their knees. That should be our prayer for anyone causing grief. It should not be revenge of any kind. In my experience, what we lose, God will give it back many times over when we trust Him in it.

This is so simple, but in this lesson I learned in the early morning hours from the Father so merciful and so caring to show us the way, I am forever amazed and in awe.

Matthew 6:12 – And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive them that trespass against us.

Genesis 9:23 – And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father’s nakedness.

Exodus 14:14 – The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.

Isaiah 30:21 – And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

I hope this helps someone today in the walk of peace with the Lord as He guides our path. God bless you!
