Remembering God's Promises

Remembering God’s Promises #61 – 3-4-24

We are always reminded of His promises as just the right time. These are trying times. There’s no doubt about it. These are the times we have to stand firm and remember who we are in Christ and the God we serve. Our trust, faith, and obedience to Him is very important, being patient to wait on the Lord. (Psalm 27:14) Dwelling in the secret place and abiding under the shadow of the Almighty takes these burdens off our shoulders and puts them on His. (Psalm 91)

In the early morning hours of 12-23-22 I dreamed of things not going well, just things out of our control. I was so anxious for the Lord’s return.

I was suddenly in a car going about 200 miles an hour, quickly approaching something. We all know about ‘as the day approaches’. I believe I was quickly approaching that day. When I’m traveling in a vehicle in dreams, and its not me in control of the wheel, I know the Holy Spirit has something to show me. As we traveled at such a fast pace, I continued with that feeling of things not going well and I just wanted to get there. I took the wheel into my hands and made a sharp turn into the woods. I knew I’d be okay. The trees were soon gone and I was riding on smoother ground in the woods, but I couldn’t go very fast. My thought was ‘let’s just get this over with and get there’. Have you felt that way lately? We know its coming so let’s just get there.

The Holy Spirit took control of the wheel again, got me back on the road, and we regained the speed of 200 miles an hour – quickly approaching that day.

There are no short cuts. We can’t mumble and grumble. It is time to stand firm and let the Holy Spirit guide us through. We are going at a very fast pace. He has a plan and we are a part of it. I pray we all persevere with expectant excitement that He is using us at this time and we are warriors of the Most High God. Praise Jesus, the only way, the truth, and the life! (John 14:6)

1 Thessalonians 5:4-6 – But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief; for you are all sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness; so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.

Acts 20:24 – However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, my only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me – the task of testifying to the good news of God’s grace.

Hebrews 10:25 – Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
