I took this picture because it reminds me of so many promises we have been given by our Father in Heaven.

I had a dream a few days ago that I had forgotten about.  Sometimes the shortest dream will say so much.  In the dream I was running and I knew temptations were following me.  I didn’t look back but I knew they were there.  As I ran I felt so excited and so light hearted.  I thought ‘this isn’t so bad, I can do this’.  And with the Lord’s way out, I did!

When the chase was over I fell onto the green grassy pasture and rolled over looking up toward heaven and began to have a light-hearted conversation with Jesus.  It was so wonderful and I felt so free.

When temptations are before us, we have a promise to stand on.  1 Corinthians 10:13 – There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

I have no idea how many years of my life I didn’t even know about this scripture.  Now, for those that have given in to temptation and are in addiction of any kind, you are in bondage.  You have a serious stronghold on your life.  If you are a family member, then this family member in addiction is needing  fasting and praying over his/her life.

When I first began having visions and hearing the Lord in different ways, one of the first scriptures I was given was Isaiah 58.  That was in 2015 and I still study this chapter.  It reads in verse 6 ‘is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?’

Strongholds in our lives can be very powerful destruction and take a powerful commitment to the Lord to repent and give up our comforts in life to see these strongholds in ourselves or our loved ones lifted.

Mark 9:29 – And he said unto them, this kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

Mark 2:20 – But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then shall they fast in those days.

Romans 12:2 – And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing,  and perfect will of God.

Acts 1:8 – But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

As you begin to fast and pray, the Lord will show you the comforts to give up.  It doesn’t have to be forever.  I usually choose something I love to drink or eat or do in my day and declare a fast from that thing for a day, three days, or a week.  Sometimes I will not put a time limit on it and be led by the Spirit. This is different for everyone.  Pray and seek the Lord in this.

As times grow darker we will have more of a need to know things like this.  I was driving the other day and the thought came to me that if I could actually see the spiritual darkness before me, I would not even be able to drive.
