I pulled over at a church one morning to take this picture. I just sat in awe. God is all powerful and all beautiful. His magnificence takes my breath away. How can we ever doubt Him or all His promises for us. He is always in control. We plan and we worry and His plan continues on as He weaves a most beautiful tapestry for us every morning.
Today this picture reminds me of a dream, one of the very few that I never shared. If you ever have prophetic dreams, you know which ones they are. They have a lesson or a warning and sometimes just a praise for our God. They are all God’s and He alone is worthy of praise. They always point us to draw closer to Jesus, our Lord and Savior, and align with scripture.
In the night of 8/22/21, I had a dream where I was receiving three nights stay for somebody on the third floor of a hotel. I saw three tickets in my hand and looked beyond to where the building was. I thought about giving them to my brother that is the third child in my family and lives out of town, but I wound up giving them to a lady that was homeless. It broke my heart because she had no place to go and I cried. We went into the hotel and found on that third floor that there were two children that also needed tending. That took care of the three tickets. As I began taking care of them, the lights went out. I knew water would stop soon. I started storing water in everything, even shoes, anything to store water. When I finished that I stopped to think if I needed to get them somewhere else to better take care of them. At that point, the lights came back on where we were. I was so thankful to see the lights. My heart was so full. God had provided for our needs.
I woke realizing again as I have been lately that God is in control and leading the way in His strength and His power. He is showing me things at the end of dreams lately like in our day what we go through and at the end of the day He gives us either a beautiful sunset or the lights are on and I feel His presence. It’s like, through His might and His power, we made it!
At the end of every day after He has led us along the way, we rest in Him and it was good and it is good. We worry so much that we aren’t following Him or that we aren’t in His will. He is giving encouragement lately that we are and He knows, even when we don’t know. Our ways are not His ways so we don’t see the tapestry He weaves and how He uses us in it. Just being willing to be used opens the door for Him to use us every day, so rest in that. He is so good. He is showing me how He sees our day. He leads the way and He provides. He saw all this coming. He isn’t surprised.
As we armor up every day with Ephesians 6, don’t forget the other most powerful weapons we are blessed with, prayer and love. We can plan and worry all day long, but at the end of the day we can look up and see a beautiful thing. He was with us. As we pray over our prayer list and thank Him for another day, we can then give it all to God and go to sleep.
John 13:34-35 – A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye love one to another.
Isaiah 58:10-11 – And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noonday: And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Proverbs 16:9 – A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
Luke 12:24 – Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls?
Isaiah 43:2 – When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
