Go a little farther, in faith – 12-17-20

I began praying for a family member in a storm one night as he tried to cover the roof with tarp. It was a downpour with winds and lightning. After walking the floor, wringing my hands, and praying, God answered the prayer. I was so thankful that I picked up the bible to read and my eyes rested on the verse asking where is my faith and how did I doubt. I thought, yes, how could I doubt. I saw so afraid.

When God parts a sea for His people to cross over and sends a small person to conquer a giant, how could I not put my full faith and trust in Him for everything. He taught me to lay it all at His feet. When He first began speaking in 2015, the first thing I remember is waking to hearing singing up above. The voices were beautiful and the words were ‘Jesus will forsake you never, it is better farther on’.

That song goes on to tell us to go a little farther. So be encouraged and go a little farther in amazing faith trusting the One that knows the plan and has our best at heart. Be ready if He comes today, and be prepared if He tarries. God bless you!

Matthew 14:31 – And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?

1 Peter 5:7 – Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.

Hebrews 13:5 – Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Psalm 139:14 – I will praise Thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
