It’s time – 11-9-19

IMG_2319

It is time to stand on God’s promises.  Press in and get under His wing.  He said He will never leave us nor forsake us.  Stand for the truth – there is a Jesus, our Savior.  He is the son of God.  He died on the cross and said ‘it is finished’.  God will fight for us and give us strength to endure.  When we are weak, He is strong.  He has shown us many times that He has taken care of His people in times of trouble, and He has not stopped.  We have to stand on what we know now and not what we think.  Have no fear.

I saw a scary time in my life with my first mini-stroke.  I walked into the ER and asked ‘well, what do You think of this’?  I opened the bible on a table and was a Isaiah 43:2.  It reads – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.  When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

That was His promise to me, and with that, He carried me through.

We are coming into a time that is unchartered territory for most.  But though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, His unfailing love for us will not be shaken or His covenant of peace be removed.

He tells us that no weapon forged against us will prevail.  No one can take away what He has given us.  Press in with fasting and prayer.  He gave me Isaiah 58 in 2015.  He gave it to me twice before I realized he was telling me to read it and hold it dear to my heart.

Seek His face and ask Him your questions.  Do not depend on man to give you the answers.  We confess our sins and He is faithful and just to forgive.  He will hold us in His righteous right hand and never leave us.  Do not be afraid nor discouraged.  This is not our home.  We are just passing through.

God bless you and your family.  We all have family of the blood and of the heart.  God knows what is near and dear to us.  I opened my bible to read the other day and was at Jeremiah 39.  I read – Behold, I will bring my words upon this city of evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee.  But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the Lord; and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.  For I will surely deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in me, saith the Lord. I knew He was speaking to me in this time from a message given in a time long ago.

Trust in the Lord and the Holy Spirit will lead and guide you.  Look up to no man, no politician, none other than the Lord.  Look up and trust in Him.  He will lead you to where you need to go, what you need to do, and what you need to say.  Total trust in Him makes all fear flee.  No debate and no strife, just total trust in the Lord.

God bless you is my prayer.  Stay strong in the Lord for He alone is our sovereign God.

Only One 10-18-19

I saw two studies recently where a small boy was placed on the street in the cold without a coat.

Out of the hours filmed, only one person stopped to even ask each one ‘are you ok’? And one of those that stopped was homeless; he gave his coat, money, and words of encouragement.

We serve a God that sends manna from heaven in the desert and multiplies a little boy’s lunch to feed the masses. He makes a way for us to do that. I’ve seen it so many times and it astonishes me at His loving mercy. I pray I will be that one that has faith and love enough for my neighbor as myself.

Peaceful Silence 10-13-19

IMG_8413 (1)

Words are so powerful ~ We cut and we kill, but give account we will.

I love the silence and I’m more aware of its power lately as I feel the need to keep silent.  Words and the heart say so much as words tell us what’s on a person’s heart.  Out of the heart the mouth speaks, and guarding our tongue keeps our soul from trouble.

If I had known the power of words in my youth, not even half of them would have escaped through the gate that should have been so guarded.  I sat in the swing this morning with the feeling of the Holy Spirit coming over me and felt the need to repent of words.

I opened my bible to Matthew 12 where it spoke of words – so powerful a verse.  Whether writing or speaking, guard the words that escape.

The flesh man cannot live in the wilderness, fasting and being alone with God.  Hurts and unforgiveness dealt with there in the secret place of peaceful silence.

Jesus 9-29-19

When we find ourselves in the wilderness of loneliness, God will speak the most.  And if we speak as a true pastor, messenger, prophet – we will find ourselves in this loneliness.  For speaking as a true child of God means we speak unpopular things and in an unpopular way.  Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us.  He was not accepted by His own, therefore he was not able to do many works there.  He pressed forward.

The wilderness makes us see things from a distance like the church buildings with man’s interpretations of the scripture.  Dip or sprinkle, Saturday or Sunday, uniform in worship or running to the alter, offerings taken up or dropped in a basket when leaving, praying to Jesus or Mary, repenting or leaving it to God as to where we spend eternity.  Whatever the difference, its a difference that keeps the children of God from worshipping together.  The church building was to be a house of prayer for the church.

We were meant to love, worship, and help together.  There was a box in the pet store for donations.  It ran over with pet food.  A box in the grocery store was empty.  My heart went out to the undocumented orphans being raised by disabled elderly grandparents.

I saw a bird this morning singing to all creation from branch to branch with leaves before his face.  The true pastors, messengers, and prophets will continue to sing of Jesus from place to place, but it will not be our light that man sees but the light of Jesus in us.  We have no light of our own for it is His work we proclaim and not our work for we do the work of the Father in Heaven, from where all blessings flow.

It is the fruit of His words and His works that we put out in love, joy, and kindness with peace, patience, and faithfulness.  Against these things there is no law.  We point the way of the ancient paths, the good way where there is rest for the souls.  For the world does not see Him and cannot accept Him, but we see Him-the Spirit of Truth.  Christ does not leave us as orphans but with a Comforter whether on the mountain top or in the valley of wilderness.

So we sing.  We sing with our face behind a branch of His love and His saving grace.  Where there is hope in this fallen world, and joy and love beyond the comprehension of the minds of mortal man.

The Rain Vision – 9-18-19

foggy-1077725_960_720

I woke the morning of 9-18-19, and before I could open my eyes I was seeing a cluster of dark green leaves with green fruit.  I asked myself was I seeing an olive tree?  I saw what looked like either a fine heavy rain, sleet or snow on these leaves.  I was trying to look closer when I saw a pane to my right where there were water droplets drizzling down so I knew it was rain.  When those leaves with fruit were gone, I saw golden yellow leaves.  I don’t know what kind the golden yellow leaves were, but there was no fruit.  There was still the fine heavy rain.  I asked the Lord to let me know what this means if it is important.  I know any vision from God is important, and I know if it is from Him then He will give more information.  It may not always be right away.

I went on with my day and the vision would come back from time to time.  I couldn’t sleep the night of 9-19-19 so I got up and went out to the prayer swing.  After an hour or so I found where Jeff Byerly was speaking on youtube and he gave verses the Lord gave him to read so we would know the time we are in.  One of the chapters was Joel 2.  As I began to read, it brought back the memory of this vision.  I read the chapter but it was at the beginning of verse 19 that my spirit perked up.  I believe the verses after that go with what I was seeing.  God always sends words and pictures two or three times to go with anything He gives us.

Joel 2:19-32

Verse 19 Yea, the Lord will answer and say unto His people, Behold, I will send you corn, wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith; and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen;

Verse 20 But I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive him into a land barren and desolate, with his face toward the east sea, and his hinder part toward the utmost sea, and his stink shall come up, and his ill savour shall come up, because he hath done great things.

Verse 21 Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.

Verse 22 Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the wine do yield their strength.

Verse 23 Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God: for He hath given you the former rain moderately, and He will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

Verse 24 And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the vats shall overflow with wine and oil.

Verse 25 And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpillar, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

Verse 26 And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wonderously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Verse 27 And ye shall know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am the Lord your God, and none else: and my people shall never be ashamed.

Verse 28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Verse 29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Verse 30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

Verse 31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon to blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come.

Verse 32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Embrace the dance 8-13-19

dance

When we walk to the drum of a different beat, we won’t always be understood. And that’s okay. Not everybody likes our drum. Not everybody likes our beat.

But we like it. We are content with that beat, and we are embraced by that drum. We won’t let anything or anybody steal our joy.

Our drum attracts those that are good for us, and our beat will bring in all those we need in our dance.

Our drum tells us we are just passing through. So keep dancing past it all, and don’t lose the beat. Don’t lose the joy, embrace it.

Waiting on God – 8-29-19

IMG_8080 (1)

I woke and before my eyes opened I was seeing people sitting on a couch. They were content and I remember thinking they aren’t tired or ill or upset. I knew they were waiting.  I heard in the spirit ‘I know they have been waiting for a very long time’.

Then I knew we need to speak life into our situation and into our prayers. Pray believing for the answer according to God’s will. Thank Him in all things and never let a negative thought take root in our head or speak negative words. The battlefield is in the mind and words are very powerful. He has a plan for our life and it is not His will that all who follow Him should suffer.

When God has us waiting, we need to rest in Him and have faith His answer will come.

My morning devotion speaks of the same thing.  God always sending confirmations of His word.

1 John 5:14-15 – And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask anything according to His will, He heareth us: And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

Isaiah 26:3 – Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Galatians 5:22 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.

Isaiah 55:11 – So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Psalm 40:4 – Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his trust . . .

Romans 8:28-29 – And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.  For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
