A few days ago I saw a vision. In this vision were different scenes of water. In one scene, I saw a small pool of water in the ground in a wooded area. All around the water was lush greenery. It was so inviting. The next scene was water trickling over rocks and into another pool of water. It was as if the water was calling to me. The next scene was a peaceful stream of water, gently flowing. This went on for a very brief time before it stopped. I was worshipping a few days later and began to look for scripture audio when I heard on a brief clip words with music behind them. ‘Come to the living waters’. (Isaiah 55)
The Lord is giving an invitation that we come to the living waters where we thirst no more, where His peace is found. We need no earthly thing to get us there. And as we drink of His living waters, we will never thirst. He has spoken it, and His word never returns void. Drink in His words.
The scripture in Revelation 7:13-17 blesses my soul. It reads, Then one of the elders answered, saying to me, “These who are clothed in the white robes, who are they, and where have they come from?” I said to him, “My Lord, you know.” And he said to me, “These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. For this reason, they are before the throne of God; and they serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them. They will hunger no longer, nor thirst anymore; nor will the sun beat down on them, nor any heat; for the Lamb in the center of the throne will be their shepherd, and will guide them to springs of the water of life; and God will wipe every tear from their eyes.”
The bible speaks of the living waters several times. One of my favorites is the woman at the well in John 4. She was surprised Jesus asked her for water. How often are we humbled that He loves us so that He gave his life for us? How humbling is it that He draws us in to be alone with Him? He told the woman that if she knew the generosity of God and who He was, she would be asking Him for a drink and He would give her living waters. He said that everyone who drinks the water that He gives will never thirst. His waters are gushing fountains of endless life. Let us be encouraged. When we have His love, His living waters, and all that He offers, we have everything. God bless you is my prayer as you continue to walk in the Lord resting in His peace.
