Jesus calls His disciples dear friends. He tells us not to be threatened into silence. They can kill us but they can’t touch our soul. God alone holds our body and soul in His hands. He even knows the number of hairs on our head. As we stand for Christ, we know surely that He will stand for us.

We don’t worry about the words we will say as we are promised they will be with us. If the Holy Spirit gives us the words to say, then it will be the Holy Spirit speaking through us. Therefore, do not fill the spirit with self but with God. As we do not worry about the words, we do not worry about the clothes and the food. Some of us are never even seen, just as a wildflower hidden in a field, yet God has nourished with the things He sees as beauty and radiance. Replace worry with thankfulness and gratitude; watch and pray with a well oiled lamp. We are given so much, how can we not give so much.

Know the time we are in and remember that goodness and mercy will follow us and we will live in the house of the Lord forever. Amen
