Know the Voice – 3-10-21

Another lesson the Lord taught me in an amazing way…Have you noticed how you can have a great day where you wake praising God and His words just flow as He prompts you to speak with someone you meet. He leads where there’s a need and through Him you fulfill it. You sit facing the sunset in the evening and give thanks that it was such a beautiful day and you thank the Holy Spirit for leading and guiding.

Then the next morning rolls around and an oppressed feeling greets you, gives you a big hug of shame and says it’s ok, just don’t let that happen again. This is devised to stop your walk with the Lord. He says you were being holier than thou and a show boat. He may even work through someone to give you the words to confirm it. Like you don’t know what you’re talking about; just stay silent. It’s the best way.

That’s not God speaking. Pull those covers back and stand to your feet. As you thank God for the day before, thank Him for the one you are just beginning to face. Put on your armor from Ephesians 6 one piece at a time. (helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of the gospel of peace, belt of truth, sword of the Spirit, and the shield of faith.) This reminds us there is a spiritual warfare going on and that God is fighting for us. Nothing happens that God does not allow. Face the sunrise in thankfulness, and prepare to walk and speak where He leads. Push that darkness to the dry places in the name of Jesus and enjoy another walk with the Lord. There is nothing happening that He isn’t surprised about. We may flinch a minute, but power flows through even the hem of Jesus’ garment as we hang on.

This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
