Faith is a complete trust in God, it is the assurance of things hoped for, and the conviction of things not seen. It isn’t a way to get around life, but in essence a way to get through it. You still go through but are blessed in it, blessed with no fear. It gets you through the days, no matter what comes. You know you’re not walking alone, and faith is knowing the One that walks with you is giving you the strength to endure. You may be knocked about a minute, but you know the Lord is never surprised. Faith reminds you that no matter the thoughts in your head, through Him you can do anything. In the fire you will not be burned, in the water you will not be overtaken. That’s how much you mean to Him. That’s how much He loves you. And on that, through your faith, you can depend.
I saw a man on his riding mower today. In another section of the yard was a little fella that couldn’t have been over 4 years old. He was riding on his little battery powered mower. I could tell they were just riding and playing. The young man learning from the older. It reminded me of stages of our faith. Our faith grows as we follow the Lord. Those in strong faith that have endured so much can reach down and lend a hand to those that are so young in the Lord and say, ‘it’s okay, He’s got us’.
At the end of a harrowing day, it is good to be able to look up, be still and know, and thank our Heavenly Father for making a way and seeing us through.
