An amazing example of the leading of the Holy Spirit came from a young man dear to my heart that called me last week to tell about his experience. He was in town when the Holy Spirit prompted him to share the gospel with a person nearby.
As he shared, he noticed a crowd gathering. His eyes went to one in the crowd that wore symbols and spoke a lingo of his past in a cult, although she yelled listen to what he has to say. His mind went immediately to Acts 16:16-34. As he left the crowd, he looked back and saw the young woman speaking to the one the Holy Spirit had prompted him to witness to. I am sure God quickened that one’s spirit to retain the words of the Savior as He knew this woman would be giving him words that are not true. How amazing. God went before this one to hear His gospel first.
As I have noticed, when someone in a cult or addition is free from chains and bondage, watch out. Their mission with the Lord is not on a light foot.
When the Holy Spirit prompts us to do something and then makes us aware of the enemy in the camp, and gives us the verses to study to know what’s happening, that’s amazing. I never cease to be amazed and I am certain I never will. All these stories of old that our attention is drawn to at the time in our lives that we need them most. God bless as you walk in faith and trust in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus will never leave us nor forsake us. There is trouble in this world, but He has overcome the world. Greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.
