It is time to get off the path of watching, waiting, and worrying about destruction and darkness – and take the path of ‘Jesus, how can you use me in this?’
We should not be in lack of faith but in belief. When our eyes are off ourselves and following Jesus, faith crushes darkness. It’s like being in a boat during the storm. We don’t watch the churning waters or worry if they’ll consume us, we look for anyone that needs a hand to get in the boat.
We were born for such a time as this, and it is time we give it place in our lives.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of Life. (KJV)
Matthew 4:16 The people living in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. (NIV)
Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (KJV)
Psalm 18:28-29 You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. (NIV)
Proverbs 3:5-8 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes; fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. (KJV)
James 1:6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (NIV)
Philippians 2:4 Not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others. (NIV)
