I love Spring. As I sit in my swing this morning, the air is not so sharp with cold. I hear birds singing as if they have a new song. The flowers I call buttercups are opening with a yellow beauty all their own. These things are ushering in a new season not far away. And I think most of us are counting down the days.

It’s the same with the return of Christ. He gives us a new song in our hearts that bursts forth like a beautiful flower ushering in that day we will meet Him in the air.

The armor of God was given to us so that we, not fighting the adversary ourselves, but rest in Him-the author and finisher of our faith. We have cast off the darkness of this world and put on the breastplate of Righteousness.

Our sword is the Word. It’s a living word and it speaks to us every day.

Our feet walk in peace with a great love in our hearts for our brothers and sisters. And in that day, we stand. We stand with our shield of faith.

I pray that today you rest in Jesus. When the cares of this world overtake us, sitting before Him covers us with peace in whatever seems to be bringing us down.  He covers us with His feathers and gives us a new song and a beautiful love.

More than once I have opened my bible to Haggai 1:13 which reads ‘Then spake Haggai the Lord’s messenger in the Lord’s message unto the people, saying, I am with you, said the Lord.’ God bless!

And He reassures us in Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you?  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord our God is with you wherever you go.
