Sitting on the porch in the woods this morning in this spring like weather in the south, the simplest thing came before me in such a mighty way.

The sun rises in the east behind me and begins to shed its light on the trees.  There is still darkness on the bottom but on the top, the sun slowly shines to overcome the darkness.

It overcomes the darkness every 24-hour period to remind us of the Light that is present every single day.  That is powerful.  Every single day.  We don’t worry about tomorrow; its taken care of.  But live in every single day knowing the light of Jesus is in us and is shining to overcome the darkness.  Here are some verses to comfort those that walk with the light in a dark world.  God bless you today!

John 1:5 kjv – And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Luke 1:79 kjv – To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

John 12:46 kjv – I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Psalm 18:28 kjv – For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness.

John 8:12 kjv – Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Ephesians 5:8 kjv – For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.
