Out of the darkness a great light dawned on this earth. A light to live in us and shine for others to see, for the darkness could not overcome the light. He said ‘I am the light and whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, for he has the light of life.’ We fell to our knees and confessed as we had lied and claimed to fellowship with Him, but yet walked in darkness. He was just to forgive, so whom shall we fear? The Lamb at the center of the throne is our Shepherd; He leads us to springs of living water.
We now walk with the light, and even in our darkest hour, He lights the way. Now the unfolding of our words give light and are not changed by shifting shadows. Our faith knows there is a place that needs no sun and no moon, for the Glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. It’s a place where the sovereign Lord wipes away the tears from all faces there. He removes His people’s disgrace from all the earth.
And in that day through the narrow gate we will say, His word was fulfilled just as He told it and inspired the prophets to tell. We will take our places at the feast in the kingdom of God. Though we were last, we will be first in our Father’s house of many rooms. So set your hearts and minds on things above as the wrath of God is for the dark and the things of darkness. He will make everything new as His word is trustworthy and true. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.
