Living Waters – 10-19-18

IMG_3256 (1)

The bible tells us to be not dismayed nor to be troubled.  It also tells us in John 7:38 ‘He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water’.

As a dear friend told me, when we see all these troubles in the world, we don’t go by how we feel, but we go by what we know.  We remind ourselves of what we know each and every day, so that when the troubles come upon us, we have our checklist.

We can stop, be still, and know that He is God.  We can say, okay, so what do I know.  I feel things are terrible and I’m not safe, BUT, WHAT I KNOW IS . . .    I feel my family is not safe, BUT WHAT I KNOW IS . . .    I’m hearing this terrible news, BUT WHAT I KNOW IS . . .

1 Thessalonians 2:13

And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe.

Isaiah 40:31

But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

John 14:1

Do not let your hearts be troubled.  You believe in God; believe also in Me.

John 19:30

“It is finished!”  Then He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

2 Thessalonians 3:3

But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.

Deuteronomy 31:6

Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.

Psalm 91:1-2

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.

The words in the bible are living words and when spoken the devil has to flee.  So keeping these sayings in your heart is a weapon on which you can stand.

Also see the previous post about the Armor of God.  It’s time to suit up – on bended knee.

We are an empty vessel filled and walking by the Holy Spirit.  We can do nothing in and of ourselves, but in Christ we can do all things as He strengthens us.  God bless~
