kjv 2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature; old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

His word gives us encouragement to face every day.  We are not to worry about our forgiven past, but stand on who we are in Him today.  Our past has passed away.
