On August 25, 2014, I sat on the porch. A grandma’s porch is a dining hall, a counselors office, a stop light for hugs and kisses, a TCM channel for old stories, and an alter to thank God for His many blessings. I thought about how there is so much stress and worry. So much uncertainty and trauma. I asked God what do You say to people to make them feel better. I heard that quiet still voice. Isaiah 60 1-2.
I looked it up to see if there were even 60 verses in that book. A smile came over my face. Life is so sweet with God. There’s enough when we need it. There’s enough. And I’m so glad it’s not about us. We’d be in trouble if it were.
May God touch you today and comfort you like only He can. God bless.
Isaiah 60 1-2 KJV
Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee.
