I sat in the swing early and listened. Hearing nothing but nature is very peaceful. It clears our minds and gives room for the Spirit to come into our hearts and our thoughts.
My thoughts this morning went to the heart of the matter. We have so many beautiful flowers 🌸 growing in our gardens. They are struggling to function in the way they are intended, but the beauty is still there. We keep trying to treat the flower. A flower can’t be treated. It’s treated from the roots. We have to get to the heart of the matter.
When we left God out and kicked him to the curb, the roots suffered. We keep looking at the fading, forgotten rose. We have to get to the root to see the beauty. We can’t blame the damaged roots on their own. They just know how to grow in what they’re planted.
Our country has sure made a sorrowful field for planting.
It’s up to those that walk in the spirit and can see where the problem lies to treat those damaged roots and bleeding hearts through hard work and prayer. God is the healer of all things. The ones that have been through the most can sometimes see clearer that there is still beauty in the flower, having had their own roots damaged and brought back to life.
When I see a struggling flower I hope I can know to pray for more than what I’m seeing on the surface.
Jeremiah 30:17 kjv
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.
