On September 22, 2017, as 2:39am I woke and before I could get out of bed, I found myself standing outside at the end of the house on the walkway that goes to the carport. On the other side of the house near the woods I heard a very loud voice like the town crier ‘COME! PREPARE!’
At first I thought he was warning me of a tree falling so I crouched down. Then I was back in the house, and I realized he was saying prepare for things to come, prepare your heart and mind, prepare for Jesus’ soon return. This must have been a very vivid dream and I had thought I was waking up. Sometimes it’s like the verse that says whether I was in the body or in the spirit I do not know. (2 Corinthians 12:2)
The word prepare means to set in order, to get ready, make oneself ready. We need to prepare our hearts to agree with God. Make room for Christ. Don’t fall to sleep now. Watch for His return. Be in prayer; courageous and strong wearing faith and love as a breastplate and with the hope of salvation as a helmet. The devil still prowls for someone to devour. Hold fast and repent.
Romans 13:11 – And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
Matthew 24:44 – Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
On 1-28-19 I opened my bible to Isaiah 40:3 and this post immediately came to mind. The word of the Lord says ‘The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.’
Then verses 4-9 go on to say ‘Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it. The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field: The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the Lord bloweth upon it: surely the people is grass. The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of God shall stand for ever. O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountains; O Jerusalem, that bringeth good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not afraid; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! KJV
2-3-20 I found Isaiah 57:14 and it seems to go with this sweet experience I had in the middle of the night. ‘And shall say, cast ye up, cast ye up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling block out of the way of my people.’ Amen. We really need that today.
